Nevertheless, during the time of Islam Khar (1608-1613), the governor of Bengal, his son, Jahangir, was originally the foundation of Mughal rule in this country. From then on, they were in the possession of Shariatpur area, until the fall of the Mughals in this area of ​​Bengal. After Islam Khan, twenty-one governors ruled this region from 1613 to 1757. This period is known as the time of peace and prosperity in history. Even then, people of this region were attacked by the Portuguese and pagans supported by Magh and Arakan. During the Nawab Shaista Kha period (1663-78) and (1679-88) Mugh and Portuguese King Shaista Khan were destroyed in an expedition, which resulted in the collapse of Chittagong and Sandhid in their strongholds.

During the time of Shaista Khan, this country was very peaceful and prosperous. At the time of his time, eight mind rice could be used. After Shaista Khan, from 1703 to 1716, nawab murshid khan was recognized as a highly skilled Mughal governor. He reconstructed the territories of the nearby region including the Jailas and initiated the practice of jagir and took better steps to collect money and taxes. Nawab Sirajuddaula was in power as an independent nawab of Bengal along with this district till the tragedy of the palace of 1757.
